Bait and Switch¶
Core idea¶
Force the enemy to spend defensives, mobility, or engage tools, then punish while those tools are unavailable.
What line members should understand¶
Do not run so far after the bait that you cannot counter. The bait only matters if the zerg stays close enough to punish.
Role notes¶
Tanks: identify whether you are creating the threat, stopping the enemy response, or protecting the route.
Healers: position for the danger area created by the call, not only the safest backline.
Supports: layer defensives on the real counter-threat.
DPS: be close enough and prepared early enough to hit when the window appears.
Common failure¶
Players hear the words but miss the intent. They move in the named direction while ignoring terrain, enemy cooldowns, or role responsibility.
Practice drill¶
During VOD review, name the calling style after the fight moment, then ask each role what it should have done five seconds before the call.
