Foundations

Foundations teach the language of ZvZ before you specialize into a role or comp.

A player who understands foundations can watch a fight and ask useful questions:

  • What style is each side trying to play?
  • Who controls distance and angle?
  • Which cooldown cycle matters right now?
  • Is the zerg spreading while staying connected, or leaving the fight?
  • What type of pressure is winning the exchange?

Foundation rule

Do not ask only, "what weapon is good?" Ask:

What battlefield problem does this role, call, or tool solve?

That question keeps the manual comp-neutral and helps players adapt when patches, metas, or rosters change.
