AoE Escalation¶
AoE escalation is the reason careless clumping is punished so brutally in ZvZ. When many players are hit by the same area damage, the enemy gets far more value than they would against spread players.
Field behavior¶
- Do not stand on friendly players unless a specific defensive call requires it.
- Avoid corners, walls, doors, and choke exits where your group naturally compresses.
- If an enemy engage misses or only clips part of the group, safe players should prepare the counter instead of joining panic movement.
- When you must cross a choke, cross with purpose instead of stopping in the bomb line.
Practical rule¶
If you are standing on several allies and enemy damage can reach that spot, assume you are creating a bomb target.
